                 Litter Box Training your Rabbit

Now that I have a Rabbitry, I no longer Litter Train my rabbits. When I had just a few this is how I did it. I bought 2 small cat litter pan (Walmart is fine and cheaper) I placed one in the back Left corner and one in the back Right corner. DO NOT USE CAT LITTER!! Newspaper is fine, and If you want to put hay on top that's fine, It will also encourage the rabbit to go in the box. Once you can tell which tray they are using more often you can try and take to other one out. It may take a little while, but still cleaning 2 litter boxes everyday is better than a whole cage!As time goes by, they will catch on, but just remember that you still can't let the rabbit have free run of the house, and expect it not to have accidents. Unfortunately, they can't let us know before hand!(Some dogs don't even do that)!I always let my rabbits have free run in a room with a tile floor or laminate that way I could get it up real quick, and It wouldn't damage the carpeting. I would usually play with mine for about 30 minutes and then put them back to let them have a chance to go, then take them back out in about an hour. Hope this helps...Good Luck!

                               Breeding Facts

Sexual Maturity for a rabbit is 16-24 weeks.

A doe can have a litter of 4-12. This depends on the size of the rabbit.

You can wean a bunny at 7-8 weeks from birth.

                                 Basic Care

Feet: You must trim the rabbits nails when needed. Never "De claw" a rabbit.

Shedding: A rabbit will shed every 3 months.

Baths: Although I have done it in the beginning baths are not recommended. A rabbits skin is also very sensitive so never blow dry your rabbit.

Teeth: A rabbits teeth grow just like their nail, so they must have something in the cage to chew on.

Brushing: You must brush your rabbit as often as possible. In addition in preventing Matting, this will is also great bonding time for you and your rabbit!
